ResearchGate profile

My field of research consists mainly in the study of the physics of micro and nano lasers for possible applications to optical information processing and computing. Recently, I have been interested in neuromimetic micropillar lasers for photonic spike processing and neurocomputational optical primitives. I am also currently interested in the spatiotemporal dynamics of extended microcavity lasers, in the framework of unveiling and understanding extreme events. In my past projects, I also worked on dissipative localized structures, cavity solitons, and pattern formation in semiconductor microcavities.
